I was pretty careful in the way the game is staged so that even someone who've never coded before could pick up a few lines of code at the beginning of the game and stay on as they work through more complex puzzles without completely losing it half way through. But as the stages progress into the second half of the game (around the 10th stage), I started to let the player experiment with their own learning and explore the concepts they've learned from all the tutorials they've seen through the stages up to that point.

Even so for some more advanced stages, it's still relatively hard for newcomers. I anticipated some players may still need some more hands-on guidance and that's how I came about the idea of hiding answer keys along the way, basically in plain sight. Look for the golden key!
